News From Iceland That the Corporate Media Does Not Want You To Know.
By RePeace May 8, 2012
ICELAND. No news from Iceland?… why? How come we hear everything that happens in Egypt but no news about what’s happening in Iceland: …
In Iceland, the people has made the government resign, the primary banks have been nationalized, it was decided to not pay the debt that these created with Great Britain and Holland due to their bad financial politics and a public assembly has been created to rewrite the constitution.
And all of this in a peaceful way. A whole revolution against the powers that have created the current global crisis. This is why there hasn’t been any publicity during the last two years: What would happen if the rest of the EU citizens took this as an example? What would happen if the US citizens took this as an example.
Dream of Return Realized – then abrubtly come to an End!
I was able to enter Gaza, and was there for nearly three glorious days before Hamas forced me to leave again. My time there was truly better than I could have hoped, or asked for. During my few days there, I found and rented a rented a great flat (for the month!) on the beautiful Mediterranean, saw dear old friends who’ve been locked in the prison that has become Gaza, and have not been able to leave, met some amazing women and activists, went to an art and cultural center, where we told stories, drank tea and I was serenaded Fairouz! We also spent time in the too cool and delicious Mezage cafe (it has been SO long since I had a real green salad & proper meal in Egypt:/). Smokey Issue Headed to the Supreme Court
A Supreme Court decision is expected to bring clarity to medical marijuana distribution laws. Two district court judges with two opposing viewpoints will lead to one Nevada Supreme court decision that will decide the fate of dozens of medical marijuana patients who have no means to obtain their medicine. The city has seen many recent court cases against people that have operated medical marijuana dispensaries. Defendants claim to be “caregivers” providing medicine to legal patients.
